Sarah's inherent love for horses manifested early, leading her to immersion in riding lessons under the tutelage of Helen Varble of Wellington Show Stables in Florida. Riding with trainers such as Judy and Gary Young, Sergio Campos, the Pack family, and Holli Adams, her career spanned the major East Coast shows from pony divisions to Grand Prix. Despite her success, her interest in equine genetics and reproduction ultimately took precedence. Through years of research, education and practical application, Sarah has developed an growing knowledge of important show jumping families and the latest reproduction techniques. Integrating these expertise with her considerable competitive experience, Sarah can directly inform her breeding approach, providing key insights into the traits modern riders demand. Her approach blends reliability of proven performance lines with genetic diversity, primarily focusing on longevity and optimizing each horse's individual strengths.
Christine
Vanneck
Christine, founder of Muny Sunk Stables, comes from a family firmly rooted in horses. She spent her childhood years tending to and riding her backyard ponies, later gaining invaluable industry experience through an internship at Blue Chip Farm, where she learned about the Standardbred breeding and racing program her father was involved in. When her daughter, Sarah, showed a passion for horses and riding, it quickly advanced from a single lesson to a full competition schedule, which eventually led them to move from South Florida to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. This relocation achieved Christine's childhood dream of owning a horse farm and the subsequent life that came with it.
Although still active on the farm, Christine has stepped back from operations and is enjoying the retired life.
